York Prinz zu Schaumburg-Lippe

For York Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe and his family the automotive and aviation sport has always played a major role.

First, he was influenced by his father, who was also Vice-President of the Region (East Westphalia-Lippe). As a rally-racer and a pilot he received multiple awards.

York Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe’s great-uncle, Max Prinz zu Schaumburg-Lippe, was winner and winner of class 24 of Les Mans, the Mille Miglia and the 24 Hours of Spa Francorchamps. Because of his achievements with his BMW 328, he was known as “Max Sause”

York is an enthusiastic organizer of automotive events, such as rallys or concours. With great enthusiasm, he also participates in maritime events.

He has 25 years of experience in the field of “Automotive Glazing” products, which helped this special film technology in the automotive sector to market leadership.

York’s current appeal lies in his own factory for luxury watches: “York Watches”, which is becoming increasingly popular.

Ernst Jakob Henne (racer) said at the time about the BMW 328 from Max Sause:

“In training his car runs like a clockwork.”
